    This is a joke.

Showtime cannot possibly intend to sub Oganov into the tournament. They guy built his record by beating up tomato cans and has been stopped both times he stepped up in competition, once by the mighty Fulgencio Zuniga.

If they want to bankroll and air Green/Oganov, fine; but don't do it under the guise of determining the first substitute for their tournament roster when Bika is still out there looking for fights. Even Balzsay or Inkin would be more legit than Oganov.

If this is true then shame on Showtime. Their admirable roll in putting together the Super Six tourney does not put them above criticism when it comes to the rest of their fight-making.

All that said, Oganov would be Green's best win!

Oganov is too short and doesn't have a long enough reach for the weight division. He's coming off a loss to Dirrell.

There are plenty of talented European fighters from middleweight to light heavyweight: Golovkin, Inkin, Pirog, Uzelkov, Mendy, etc.

      Why choose Oganov?

Oganov is way too small to beat anyone good at 168. He's so short and squat without the skills or speed to make up for it. If he really wanted to get somewhere he should lose as much bulk muscle as he can and get down to 154 or 160 at least. Him fighting at 168 is just a no win situation.

God knows why Green is fighting him when he could get one of the top guys in the division in Bika. Foolish move, though as a business move I can certainly understand it. Why risk fighting someone good and losing when you can fight someone you can beat easily for the same amount of $.

You're one of the LEAST intelligent posters on this site.

Golovkin defeated Dirrell in the Olympics, and KOed Bute in the world amateurs the year before.

Oganov only lost once on Showtime and it was a premature stoppage. Green does'nt like pressure and Oganov will definetly bring that.

Actually both his losses were on Showtime.

Everybody saw he is just a punching bag.

This fight is a joke just like Allan Green.

The super six tournament should use the Bute/Andrade fight as the determining bout for the first alternate. Both deserve to be apart of the super 6, so why not try and get one of them in, in case someone drops. Instead it's Allan Green, oh great; we're going to watch a guy with spock eyebrows that stares at his feet, awesome.
Bute and Andrade are fighting on HBO. The tournament is being put on by Showtime.

Its about time Green stops running his mouth and gets in the ring. No matter who he is fighting.

bummer, as this doesn't really prove anything coming from Green's side

a bout he should win, and more of a stay-busy fight

I guess it beats sitting around and doing nothing. but not by much
