I was under the impression that if a murder is committed, everyone involved bears the same guilt, not onlt the actual perrpetrator.

If the police are saying that Vernon confronted the wrong guy, is there a chance that the guys who robbed Vernon may not be the same guy who killed him? Maybe that's why this clown turned himself in. Better to be brought up on robbery instead of murder.

I know a little bit about law and anytime someone is killed in the commission of a robbery the robber is guilty of murder as well as the shooter, the fact that vernon was killed because he committed the robbery dictates that he is also guilty of murder even if they didn't know one another, because the fact that he robbed vernon set in motion the events that led to the death of vernon he is guilty of murder also.
