what is that supposed to mean? Obviously a vacant belt isn't nearly the same as lineal belt, or unifying belts, but in boxing it never hurts to have a belt, it can give you some leverage when trying to pick your next opponent and certainly puts you in a better position than you were prior to owning the belt.

the winner of this fight will have something to show for it, and hopefully they can attempt to get some unification bouts lined up.

If this fight ends up on the Mayweather-Marquez card that will be a crazy U/C especially if Green fights Bika and Katsidis fights Escobedo. I wonder which fight of the 3 wouldn't be televised.
