Warren Hits Back at Hatton Over Khan Fight Jab

Promoter Frank Warren has hit back at Ricky Hatton over the fighter's comments regarding a potential fight with Amir Khan, the WBA junior welterweight champion. Hatton told British papers that he won't fight Khan as long as Warren is in charge of promoting the fight. Warren and Hatton had a nasty break several years back. [details]

Told you he ain't returning to the ring.

The guy should retire to be honest, he's been in hospital because of his lifestyle. Whether he admits it or not.

He's had his time and entertained us.

Warren is a bit of a prat, when Khan leaves him he´ll be slagging off Khan all the time, he does it with all his former fighters.

Warren held Hatton back for years and didn´t get him big fights when Hatton was in his prime.

That's because when they are a local ie. not US sensation he controls them completely and can get much more money off them. When they become international stars then they suddenly realise that they themselves are in control and can get the bigger money without the wankey *** promoter pinching it all.

Listen to all these promoters slagging off their fighters. They forget that without the fighters they wouldn't have **** all. ****** pricks. I hate that about promoters. They actually think they are important.

The thing with Warren is imo Ricky would not have been undefeated prior to the Floyd fight had he marketed Ricky in the North American market earlier. There in Europe he was able to handpick opponents he could beat without having to test the skills too much. But since Ricky defeated a past prime Tszyu, he realized that his name will get more global recognition fighting good opponents the other side of the pond. The problem is his skill is only good, not great or elite. I think he should retire. If he gets clocked again then it's lights out again.

He beat a couple of tough guys but the thing is it wasn't his fault if you read in his book. Warren held him back.
