Pacquiao is not overrated. Many people seem to not understand that he is a very, very good fighter who just might hit the wall against a good welterweight. Same with Cotto, if he fights a good middleweight he would probably get beat. Many fighters realize they dominate a certain division and that is their stronghold. We'll know 11/14 if Pacquiao can handle the good welterweight fighters. Many things can go wrong in a fight, especially with cotto's cut or a headbutt which we hope it does not happen here and messes up what a good fight could be. Manny will also be remembered as a fighter who dominated fighters at divisions below welterweight.

          The correct question should be...

"Is Manny Pacquiao rated over?"".. and then you will know that the answers are the same..

Now I do believe that Manny is OVERHYPED. Many fans/media make him out to be invincible or that no fighter can keep up with him when he has had 12rd battles and just fought fighters that could not finish the job. Is he fast? HELL YEA ! But he also gets moved by shots that if the fighters had more power would put him down. If Pacman received the pressure that margarito gave cotto, pacman would be in trouble, same with clottey.

Until he gets beaten, I'm alright with him rated at the top.

i don't think he's overrated, or a hype job. I think that people underestimate his greatness, therefore try to take away his "propers" from victories that any other fighter would recieve kudos for. Personally, i just think it's Pacquiao's time that's all. He's been knockin fools and his performances have been bar to none since the lighter weights. Now he's just steppin up his game and getting into the main stage.

As far as the Pacquiao/Cotto confrontation, i still think Pacquiao's gonna pull a win. I highly doubt that he's gonna destroy Cotto the way he destroyed his last two opponents. But i still think Pacquiao's gonna win.

This was a great response. Even if he does get beat, he should get credit for going beyond his limitations. What is exciting about him is that everytime he fights there is a risk for him to lose due to his somewhat vulnerable defense but he battles on top. I just don't understand how people can hate on him when everytime he fights it's exciting as hell.
