showtime i admit does real good work considering their budget but hbo is still the better.

if you were stuck in a deserted island & you only had a choice between hbo or showtime, which one would it be?

if you can afford both, you should definitely go that route

if you mostly care about the boxing/sports aspect, go Showtime

Showtime definitely. Having said that, both have liabilities. Jim Gray is ****... and so is Max Kellerman.

It's a good thing you don't do the hiring for either network. Both have personalities that arer now staples for their respective networks.

One thing I wish HBO would do is replay more of the fights in their vaults. I mean with showtime if you got their premium package they show 2-3 older fights a month on showtime 2. I wish HBO did the same especially since they have HBO east and west and HBO 2. Maybe do 2-3 modern day older fights a month. I mean whats the point of having all these classic fights and just doing a live and replay a week later then locking them up. Lets us fight fans rewatch em from time to time even though they are a few years old.

Good point here. I did a Gatti-Ward marathon the other night, but we shouldn't have to wait for guys to die before HBO decide to re-air some fights. Their catalogue goes back 25 years and includes early Tyson, Jones, DLH, etc. They could do a better series than ESPN Classic does, because they have a better list of fights in their arsenal.

                I prefer HBO to Showtime.

                I like both though.

I'll be honest. I dont have enough money to subscribe in both so I voted "neither stick to streams". by the past years, HBO had great fights but I give it to Showtime this year.

and the thing about it is they can air them late at night when there really isnt crap going on. When you subscribe to Either HBO or Show, both have 4-5 channels or more apiece.
