I dont mind Taylor although i do think he is/was overrated.

Yeah, me too. And he's a gentleman also. I really hope he beats Abraham. Abraham has gotten a little too ****y lately and he has less to lose than Jermain anyway. He's undefeated and has quite a reputation, in Germany and Europe that is. If Jermain should lose again...it might be the end of his career.
I'm glad he didn't quit after the loss to Froch, it means he's determined.
Unfortunately, Abraham does have enough power to change the fight should Jermaine win early on, as he usually does.Comment

I quite like him, not majorly though.
He's pretty respectable and professional which I like, said some good words about some fellow fights I like namely Calzaghe, bad ones about Froch whom I don't.
What I don't like is when he said in a post fight interview once, he'd pretty much just take the biggest money fight regardless of whom it was. Then he says other times it's not about the money.
Clearly is Jerman, which is probably why you lose some heart and dedication late on in fights.
Decent enough fella though I spose.Comment

Yea, thats what I'm worried about. But Jermain does have a height and reach advantage. And he's a better technical boxer than Abraham I think. He should just concentrate on outboxing and outmaneuvring Abraham and it will go his way.Comment

My favourite fighter. Love his attitude outside the ring. Continue to follow him despite his set-backs and flaws in the ring.Comment

I didn't there for a while. But I feel bad that I disliked him for a certain time frame because it seems like Dibella was keeping him away from big punchers during his title reign. I thought Hopkins beat him both times and I thought that Winky screwed himself at the end of their fight, and the draw was a fair call. The reason I like Taylor is because he fights whoever is put in front of him, and doesn't duck anyone even though he is with a promoter who is notorious for protecting his fighters (like Berto for example).Comment

I hear he is teaming up with Mackie Shilstone, who is a fitness expert. I think it takes a lot for Taylor to smile and say he wants to fight Froch again, despite such a dramatic loss.

His training camp starts Aug. 8 at George Foreman's gym in Houston. I hear the goal is for him to be under 175 when he gets to camp... not sure how realistic that is though. He looked closer to 185 in the photo-shoots for the tourney a few weeks ago.Comment
