I agree!! All that looking down and not speaking up for himself as a man. No wonder the court didn't take this man seriously......and another thing, I have no respect for a man that doesn't take care of his kids.

I Kind of agree.

Resto really looked like he have some mental issues and that he is deeply trouble by the incident.

More like a sign of fear. It's funny because he talks a big game and then gets in front of him and clams up like a *****. IMO he was in on it from the get go and that's why he couldn't look the man in the I and tell him what the **** was up. Then he has the nerve to say I love you too....oh you do? Resto was probably largely manipulated. Every adult must take responsibility for his actions and I can understand Rest's inability to confess fully because that kind of guilt is crippling. Resto is shouldering the guilt (which he should) of ruining the lives of Collins and his family, hurting his wife and sons by his actions and for the ruination of his own life. He did not wantonly murder someone, but he did recklessly endanger his life. He should not shoulder the blame alone. It should rest equally heavy on the minds of all involved and even, to a smaller degree, on the father for trying to cash in on it.

Rather than explain why Resto feels guilt, watch Unforgiven. Resto is not an articulate man so he may not be able to explain that he feels bad or the reasons behind it (many of which I suspect are not selfish). But, I think he was a weak man...weak in the sense of what you are explaining, LarrySmith. It rings eerily similar to 'battered wife syndrome' and I would guess that panama lewis did something to Resto with words or deeds which kept him panama's thrall.

resto knew what was happening from the jump..they put plaster on his hands,he knew about the bet..he saw the gloves go to the bathroom..then after the fight when billy senir grabs his glove..he tooks directly towards his daddy..resto is full of ****..at least panama is comfortable with who he is...which is complete garbage....
