The only way i could see ricky stopping Gatti would be by a vicious body shot, but other then that I don't picture Hatton hurting Gatti that much.

Nah sorry man he got knocked down because his chin isn't what people make it out to be. He's a face first fighter who eats alot of punches with an average chin...against somone like Gatti that = suicide. This isn't an over the hill Tszyu (who btw had Hatton wobbling) we're talking about here.

Also take a look at his fight with Thaxton, that was a brutal war. Gattis on a level far above Thaxton. Hell, even Lazcano after what was it? A two year layoff? (he lost to Vivian Harris btw...the guy who got brutally K.Od by Witter) had Hatton hurt. Sorry Hatton is just over-hyped to the max, the fact alot of people in this thread think Hatton could beat Gatti proves that in my eyes.

Gatti can take it more then Hatton, he'll outlast Hatton. A long time ago, I would have said Hatton but then people would think I was ******. Prime Gatti > Hatton any day.

This would have been an interesting matchup and i just wanted to see what you all thought. They both made it to the top, but neither had A talent. I really enjoyed gatti's fights and I would give him a slight edge.

This fight almost happened. If Gatti had beat Baldomir, the path was cleared for the fight.

I would have gone with Hatton though.
