Vivian Harris, Former Champ Signs With Golden Boy

LOS ANGELES - Pound for pound, there are few fighters who bring excitement like former Junior Welterweight World Champion "Vicious" Vivian Harris. Now eager to make another run at the top of the division, Harris has teamed up with a new promoter, Golden Boy Promotions, to help take him there. [details]

Why would they sign him, hmm. He must be given up a whole lot to them or they are using him so their prospects can have a name on their resume, probably both.

I met Viv at the barbershop in Vegas 2x. I chopped it up for about 2 hours each time. That's my boy for real. He told me some stuff that will motivate me for the rest of my life. He is a good dude and a family man. So we can relate on that tip. But as a boxer I beleive his best days are behind him. I also believe Steward messed his hype a little. But Steward also said that messed up with Viv. The guy had legit talent

A few years ago I used to say that Harris was meant to be a top fighter, based on his talent, he really impresses me. But I don't know why he's an underachiever, big time. Now he looks spent, I don't know what happened to him. Anyway, I'm surprised with this signing, they must've seen something special on him, but at this point it's unlikely to see him at the top.

So they can feed him to Ortiz easier.

Wow, Oscar is doing a great job of signing elite talent since Kirkland and Ortiz are not as relevant as what they once were. This is a joke.

Vivian Harris?? is this some kind of a joke?
Last time I saw him he was accussing Junior Witter of taking steriods after Witter knocked him the **** out!
What the hell do Goldenboy want him - he'll be sparked again by the first decent guy he meets.
