i was kinda disappointed in the whole thing anyway.... yeah they are both probably lying and the whole "collins dad wouldnt let him fight because of the lawsuit" thing was interesting to say the least...
but all in all i found the film very anti climactic...Comment

I found it quite manipulative. Compelling...but manipulative. I mean, you do end up feeling sorry for Resto by the end. Which, when you think about it, is wrong because the guy took so long to come clean. I mean, he was denying it and lying through his teeth for about half the film too (asking Lewis who messed with the gloves, when he knew exactly who it was).
I didn't like the way they made Resto go up to Collins' Dad's porch to apologise, and try to capture it on film.....and the scene at the grave was was so blatantly contrived and awkward.
I do have some sympathy for Resto, though. At least he has shown remorse. And I did find some of the scenes where he was breaking down and crying quite moving (and no, I don't think he was faking it).
Panama Lewis is a disgusting, vile human being and anyone who uses his service should be ashamed.Comment

Yeah, explain something to me. How was it Resto's fault and his cohorts fault that Billy jr. died in a car crash? Yes, i understand that Resto served him up which rendered him helpless in one or both eyes, however, ain't nobody told Billy jr. to drive if he couldn't see. Can someone explain?
Yes, that was interesting about Billy Sr. prohibiting his son to fight even though he was cleared medically. Obviously you can't fight unless the doctor says it's okay.
Conspiracy and corruption. That's what it all boils down to.Comment

What it all boils down to is GREED!..Yeah, explain something to me. How was it Resto's fault and his cohorts fault that Billy jr. died in a car crash? Collins Sr was trying to luck out on a Lawsuit for $65mil and Panama had a deal wit some drug lord that Luis WOULD win..I bet the odds were sick with Resto bein the Underdog..so I'm sure Panama did what he had to do..
Collins jr was the only one who truly lost here..it's sad how he was an up and coming prospect with a bright future..and someone elses greed put that to a halt and ended up making him depressed with blurred vision and ultimately killing himself..
**** is sad..but I felt more bad for Collins jr even tho they tried making Resto as the Pity case in all this..Comment
