If Clottey has brains who should he fight?

Didn't Cintron sign to fight Clottey on the undercard of Cotto vs Jennings and Pav vs Rubio? If so he already did that with Mosley and Williams. Now he wants them, lol.

The way some act on this forum. A Clottey vs Mosley fight will be Shane's biggest victory ever. Something is really telling me that this fight will happen. If not a fight with Collazo will be good or Quintana. He can also try to get his belt back.

Its weird because he lost to Cotto, but didn't lose his ranking. I never seen that before to be honest. I guess that means #4 Berto is becoming a joke.

Clottey has a chance to beat Mosley,Mosley he isnt getting any younger,plus he'll probably be distracted thinking about a mega fight with someone else!!Clottey can beat Berto,no question,he should try to get 1 of those fights,because there both winnable!!

in my mind I would fight Quintana or rematch Judah if they can get them back in the ring. Fighting Quintana and beating him would make a case for Clottey to get P Dub in the ring. Getting back in there with judah would put a name vs a name a decent pay day and end the dispute Judah made about that loss if Clottey could win. If he fights Mosley and losses I think he is pretty much going to be deemed a Chop Chop of the WW. He is a tough fight but no one will have reason to fight him after that. he needs a win or two against some names. To be on the under card of a big fight or two and have a good showing....Lefty

As much as I hate saying this. I don't believe Williams can make 147 anymore.

But I do believe Clottey can make 154 easily. I'm suprised he has never bean drained making 147. That cat is as big as Kirkland, imo

I never got hit by Clottey but I don't think he has that much pop for 154lbs. What has he got like 20 KO's? Truly I do not think it is a smart move to go to 154lbs. I think it is a no mans land for 147lb rejects or guys who are too smal for 160lbs. In my mind Martinez is not a big fight for anyone . I personally think seeing him fight P Williams would be as entertaining as watching reruns of MASH. So watching Clottey fight him would be like watching General Hospital on a sick day with the wife. HORRID! They should really just get rid of the 154lb division all together but that is another story....Lefty

Clottey got a good chin and great deffense. That being said the other side of the match has to be a big name to sell. He doesn't posses the fan power or drawing power needed to be a force in boxing. He will forever remain a very tough fighter that will be good for boxing but never get to be a headliner only a co headliner. That being said if he did grab the WW title the true WW title he would have to fight big names and tough fights each time out in order to make $$$$. He should stay at 147lbs and try to get the guys I mentioned. I do not think Berto will fight Clottey because if Berto losses to Clottey it won't b worth it. Clottey will not generate enough money for Berto to take that risk right now. I think Berto will go after Mosley or fight another stiff....Lefty
