De La Hoya has good reasons to hate on Pacquiao
Seven Reasons Oscar de la Hoya is a Manny Pacquiao Hayta:
1. In the absence of Golden Boy promoted Floyd Mayweather Jr., Pacquiao stole the Pound For Pound fighter throne.
2. Oscar’s knows it is an obvious joke but he allows his Juan Manuel Marquez-Mayweather Sept. 19 show to be called “Numero Uno” anyway. He knows in his heart that the world recognizes Pacman as the best fighter ounce for ounce.
3. Pacquiao has gained a popularity in Mexico that Oscar never had.
4. While he may not have matinee idol looks, Pacquiao has more than his share of female fans.
5. Oscar got stuck with the dinner check at Morton’s that night he tied to swipe MP away from Bob Arum.
6. Instead of his ring finale being a smash hit, all Oscar got were smash hits from Manny for eight rounds. It burns ODLH’s stomach to know he was trounced in a mismatch that he thought was going to be lark for him.
7. If Arum and Top Rank did not have Megamanny, Golden Boy may have well reduced all promotional competitors to second class status. Pacquiao is the wind beneath Top Rank’s wings and Arum and oscar both know it.
PS: Oscar seemed to sense his Shanghai move on Pacman would not work. On the way out, a head waiter asked the Golden Guy for a tip.
