    Toney confessed he lost!

When did this happen? I know it was this year. Toney finally confessed that he lost the '92 fight with Dave Tiberi. It was one of the most controversial decisions in history and two of the judges who gave Toney the fight were not certified! The only legitimate judge scored it 117-111 for Tiberi. This made Tiberi quit the sport. Well, well...live and learn James Toney.

Wish he'd confess he lost the last fight too.:P

but his confession doesnt do anything for Tiberi because now Toney is retiring rich while Tiberi is unknown to the general public.

But that is the way it happen sometimes.

If he confessed and gave some amout of conpensation to Tiberi than that would be reasonable because if Tiberi won Toney door of bigger money fight would have open to him.

I think if he did not Tiberi would sue the someone

Well, don't expect that to happen. Toney may have had the decency enough to admit he lost after 17 years, but he ain't that decent to actually give Tiberi compensation.

At least he admitted a loss. Foreman still don't wanna talk about that Schulz fight, lol! Much less confess he lost it.

Every fighter have a fight that takes him to super stardome.

like Jame Toney KOing Micheal Nunn

or Roy Jones winning James Toney

        or Manny KOing Barrera

so Tiberi have won Toney he would have chance for his next fight to have gain more finically.

anyway I dont see it happening but it good that he admited even though James Toney have a very big ego. He got lots of guts

but you could learn more with Hopkins than Toney.

Hopkins it not only a smart fighter he knows how to play mind games. That is why even if he is one his 40s he could still win fights.

He is like a boxing Arts of War.

I don't think so. If you ask the experts about who is the better technical and tactical fighter, at least 80% will say Toney. Not to mention his shoulder-roll which Hopkins could never master. Very few can.

It not about the style or techincal part that makes Hopkins dangerous fighter is his how he used every tool and every mind game he has to win.

Hopkins vs Tito. He didnt brawl tito but he bodyshot him and boxed him and then went for the kill.

Also one good win was against Epoch. When he faked his injurey he only fought with a jab for one round so Epoch assumed he not going to use his right because of his injured shoulder then the next round bam bam Epoch never expect it.

Sometimes it not the techincal skills that when you the fight but there are other type of skills that invovle.

I think he fought twice with Hopkins. I mispell his name it Antwun Echols. But the second time when he fought he had the most unprofessional corner in whole of boxing if during the match some of the simple stuff they didnt do I dont know how there training camp was.

The problem is the MW was virtually unknown til Tito and Oscar came where Hopkins won them with ease and got the recognition he deserve
