Now in Aaron Pryor and Alexis Arguello's first fight there was the su****ion of the water bottled that Panama Lewis asked for before the 14th round when he ask for water but then specifies, "give me the one I mixed"... Then Aaron Pryor comes out rejuvenated and knocks Arguello out... Do you believe what Resto said? Do you believe Pryor was aware of this? Do you think this blemishes Aaron Pryor's legacy?
    Pryor`s bottle issue would have been controversial if he lost the 2nd fight with Alexis. Both he won regardless.

      For anybody who brings up the rematch, as a way of disproving the events in the first fight ;

      In the rematch, Pryor already had the benefit of having figured out Arguello's style the first time around.

      And for Arguello (who was coming up in weight yet again) ; his best chance to ever beat Pryor would've been in the first fight. Not the second time around when he'd already had 80+ professional fights and took such a vicious beating in the original matchup.
      As for Pryor, and whether or not he's a cheat ; I would say no.

      A quick look at his history gives us nothing whatsoever to condemn him with the label of "cheater" aside from Lewis' mixed bottle.

      And the fault for that lies solely with Lewis.

      I don't think (knowing his history) anybody would ever accuse Aaron Pryor of being the type of man to cheat.

          The thing is he didn't even struggle with him the second time. He straight up sonned him.

            Yes ; Pryor was winning the fight.

            But he scored the stoppage only after Lewis gave him a drink from "the one that I mixed" and anybody who's seen the fight knows that Pryor came out that round with a burst of stamina and energy that he hadn't shown at all in the prior rounds.

              The rematch has nothing to do with what we're talking about here, Bully.

                      Didn't Lewis also put something on Pryor's nose so he can sniff? I could've sworn I saw something like that. That can't be legal can it?
