Pavlik vs Green Considered if Williams Deal Falls

BoxingScene.com was informed that Allan Green is one of the fighters who is being considered as a possible opponent for WBC/WBO middleweight champion Kelly Pavlik on October 3 - if Top Rank is unable to reach an agreement for a fight with Paul Williams. A fight between Pavlik and Green had been loosely discussed and shot down after Green, currently at super middleweight, refused to come down to 160 for the fight and asked for a catch-weight. Green has now changed his stance on the weight. Bob Arum likes the fight - but only if the bout takes place at 160. [details]

Oh **** this ****. Hreen can't make 160, and at a catchweight he would beat Pavlik.

Not bad. If Williams vs. Pavlik falls though because of the Williams's camp unrealistic purse demands, I'll never root for Williams again. I was hoping he'd put a beat down on Pavlik.

Take a desperate weak green who has already confessed to not being able to make 160 evidence by his performance against miranda! Pretty pathetic.

Green's management needs to take that potential explosion on the 19th of sept. in front of a major crowd. and look to tackle those names at the weight he can **** at post tournament.

Much like how Oscar De La Hoya v. Paul considered when DLH was choosing his next opponent after Forbes? Not happening.

The writing is on the wall that the Pavlik-Williams fight will fall apart. I can already see it. And Pavlik would whip Green's chinny ass and send him back to ESPN. I don't understand why Williams is not being reasonable with Pavlik's camp. Pavlik does not really need Williams all that bad. And Goosen has this false allusion that he does.

Williams is commiting an even bigger duck than Pavlik did against Abraham when you stop to think about it. The only thing that makes it look less blatant is the fact that Pavlik may be more filled out at 160. HBO never put up any money for a Pavlik-Abraham fight even though Abraham said he wanted to fight Pavlik. There is no excuse however, for this fight between Paul and Kelly not to happen. But Williams is the one stalling it.

Pavlik pulling a Pacquiao. He knows Green would kill him at a fair weight.
