to those who simply do not like JC

im a fan - of his boxing, alas the showboating made me squirm, however, its a fight, not a dance off, so, i think he was a great, all be it slippery, boxer.

    However, i have a question..

how many of the hardcore JC haters picked Lacy to beat him? Seeing as Lacy was favourite it must have been plenty of you

why is hopkins considered to be 'washed up' when he is currently ranked no.3 in the ring P4P list. Oh and Joe was 36 when they fought - hardly a spring chicken, and only 3 years younger than RJJ. Oh, and then Hopkins embarrassed KP - a man who, up until the hopkins fight, was considered far better than JC by those of you with a grudge against Joe. Correct me if im wrong, but no one seemed to make that point after KP got taken back to school. Pavlik was given a masterclass by hopkins. Not a bad result considering he's always seen as over the hill when mentioned in mind of the JC fight.

Now, this is not a 'nuthugger' thread, to use the term that so many of you delightfully use. I'd just like a bit of honestly.

I wonder if i'll get any as it seems honestly is something often missing in the 'humble' fight fan.

the honesty hasnt. There are boxers i cant stand but give full credit for their ability.

oh and the slapping? if i could slap like Joe i'd be pretty happy

Except Hopkins didn't really lose to Calzaghe. He was robbed by two biased judges.

i thought JC nicked it, tho it was a dreadfully dull fight.

saying the judges were biased is, quite frankly, immature and not even nearly a intelligent enough of a reply for this thread. you wally.

first time round watchin it thought joe was lucky to get the decision - second watch and he deserved to win - JUST.

calzaghe is a fuuckin legend - if he was a yank, aussie, friggin iraqi id say the same - as good a technician as theres ever been

joe v lacy should be used as a training vid for every aspiring fighter
