    PS: I will have to assume he is talking about the man and women in his program...I am sure you all know about it, it has been well documented that he not only had the program for mentally challenged adults but that he was VERY hands on and active with it and them...

          umm. y would he watch a kid try to tie his/her shoes for an hour??? wouldnt he help after 1min??? i dunno, thats what i would do.

            The idea is to make people self-sufficient as possible so they have a sense of pride and worth.

            It also aids recovery. If you do everything for someone, there's no chance of them accomplishing anything.

                I only just found out about all this work he did to help the mentally challenged
                You never read about any of this...
