The irony of this documentary was a little contradicting to the real-life scenario and questions we have about Margartio. I say this because there was a portion in the beginning of the documentary where Bob Arum stated he was outraged that something like this could happen to such a young and up and coming fighter. Yet, he so vigorously defends Antonio Margarito for the antics he pulled at the Mosley fight. It just tells me his integrity and honesty is only good when it suits him and when it gets in the way of marketing and profitability of his stable of fighters.
i thought it kinda ******...it was just an hour and a half of beating a dead horse, panama and resto already were convicted and did time, and both know what was going on...we all knew this before we watched the movie...much of it looked staged and even scripted...the director made a big deal about how panama requested payment each time...you think resto wasn't paid? of course he was, and the acting job on his part was terrible, his true feelings on the matter were shown right after the incident when he told the media he did nothing wrong...he's thought about it every day? bull****, he's just a broke ex (?) junkie who needed some cash and here's this guy who's willing to pay him money to "get to the bottom of this"...c'mon man, it was almost hard to watch how fake the whole thing seemed
I took Resto's apology as being sincere. He did his time, he's man enough to come forward, while the real *****'s (Panama) are in the back ground acting like they didn't know or do anything. I see Capatillo and Marga-cheato making there own verison, in the next 5 years..

Good post, I walked away thinking the same thing, *** Arum..

No doubt, Arum is a creep. But not as much of one as Shaw is.
I came away from this last night feeling sorry for nobody.
Resto came off as a spineless ***ing idiot and a liar. Panama Lewis made Don King look like a ***ing boy scout and the Collins family came off almost as bad too.
Billy Collins ex wife excluded. She was the only one with any character in the whole picture.
Where I do sympathize with Resto is the death of Billy Collins. That was not his fault at all. From the sound of it Collins dad was a complete prick who had ulterior motives and kept him from returning to the ring because of his bull**** law suits.
Greed on the part of the Collins dad is to blame for his sons death.
And Billy Collins Jr.himself seemed like a pretty big prick too. Beating up on his friends, abusing his wife and not being to control his primitive emotions.
That guy gets no pity from me either. If you're such a selfish little primadonna that you have to kill yourself because things aren't going your way then *** you.
The whole thing just pissed me off. What a pathetic bunch they all were.
And btw. This should show you anti-Margarito morons the difference when it comes to loading gloves.
When you load your gloves they find actual plaster and gloves with no padding.
In Margarito's case they found "trace elements" that can be found in plaster, handcream, cherrios, wall paper, pimple cream, pinatas, and ***ing tacos.
GTFO w/ that ****.
Another excellent post from the poster formerly known as Dapeedrean.
boy do I love me some cherrios. I like pinatas too. ****ing tacos though???? Not too sure on that one.
Good post, I walked away thinking the same thing, *** Arum..
Arum is straight up shady, just like every other boxing promoter out there. Money dictates ethics in there world and this small tid-bit of Arum in this documentary was proof of it.
My thoughts are that Resto obviously has been paying the price for last 25 years due to depression, anger, poverty, etc. not to say he's innoncent
Panama meanwhile is a true peace of ****, clearly guilty and still doesnt have the heart to admit it. I thought Resto was gonna punch him in the parking lot toward the end.

Yea, Resto and Lewis are pieces of ****. I don't feel bad for them. Lewis shouldn't be able to train anyone at all. Margarito was caught trying to cheat. Just because it wasn't quite as bad doesn't give him any more of a case. He's a dirtbag and so is Capetillo.
