im gonna say mosley the guy was a damn beast at 135. mayweather at the time just didn't have the smarts to deal with a fighter who was as quick as him but also had so many other great attirbutes a great chin, solid work ethic and was very powerful.
recently mayweathers ring smarts have developed to a point where he can take on vastly bigger and skilled opponents and still be competitive (e.g. de la hoya at 154) but if mayweather and mosley had clashed as 135lb fighters, i think mayweather would have been left wondering how the hell do i beat this guy.
mayweather developed ring smarts in the amateurs, which is why his style didn't really change---it did enhance though, the physical part of it---floyd put it together at a very young age and polsihed it to the highest point it could go---he would have dusted mosley imo, floyd's skillset trumps mosley---floyd's more smooth and mosley has shown how to lose against smooth fighters--mosley's physically talented---but he is a stiff fighter, and floyd is much more elusive, and has always been---floyd by ud.....
This is tough. Both fighters were incredible at 135 and earned the bones of their future p4p rankings at lightweight. I'll go with Mosley in a VERY close decision due to his size advantage and very exceptional power.
lol, shane can't handle an american boxer like mayweather. mayweather by UD. Stop overating him because he can only fight mexican fighters who stand infront of him.
other than the 1st Castillo fight... he looked very stoppable in that fight even if you had Floyd winning.
thats is what I was thinking.lol. No excuses either. I really think it would be a close fight because Shane was beat by guys that were physically stronger than him. I know the jab had a lot to do with his loss to winky and vernon. The more I think about it the more I realise that with vernon, vernon just had his number from facing him so many times in the past. Winky was just physically stronger and shane was use to over powering his opponents. So Mosly and Floyd would be a close fight but I see it going either way.
at the time when they BOTH were at 35, I believe that we would have gotten a CLASSIC!!!! Tough call, but at 35, I say Floyd. But it would be a VERY tough and close fight. Shane was dat deal as well at 35...but if someone picked Mosley, then I wouldn't see a problem with that. It would have been a GREAT fight, PERIOD.
