Champions Today dont want to defend their titles.

Miguel Cotto dont want to defend the WBO title at 145 and willing to vacate if he's forced to.

Manny Pacquiao has no interest in defending the IBO belt.

Juan Manuel Marquez is moving 2 division on his weight and might not able to return.

    What's next?

cotto just got done defending his belt against clottey. And he is one making the right call on this whole catchweight tittle thing. But cotto will give in and put it on the line. Cotto gets to much flack from people around here bunch of haters

I agree with but in a different way, for example I hate the fighters that actually defend their tittles but against nobodies, it's almost like they don't defend it, like Zsolt Erdei, Edgar Sosa, Omar Narvaez for example.

But in the other hand I think that the sanctioning bodies don't deserve any respect because they are one of the worst deceases boxing have right now. Like those "interim, regional, super, emeritus champions" mess. Also they stripped some fighters who wanted to unify tittles like Dawson. So, they're meaningless in some level.

also the champs don't want to fight the champs too which sucks. I mean cotto clottey could have been for ibf and wbo but the ibf stripped clottey of his belt that ****** cause to me there is the main four divisions lightweight, welterweight, middleweight and heavyweight and i think boxing is in a good position if they have unified champs in those divisions but the people who run the belts and hbo and showtime i guess don't feel the same way. To me the last great champ is bhop just my opinion

According to Bob Arum, it is 100% sure, Pac vs Cotto is at 145 lbs and is a welterweight title clash.

good that the belt is on the line just makes it more interesting 24/7 should be a good one with all the behind the scenes to make this fight. Freddie roach is going to be talkin a lot of trash but little that he knows that his man will be taking nap time around 12:00 eastern time
