Have you read any of my posts on this thread? I've explained this time and time again. Mosley probably does shoulder some of the blame for the fight not happening. But Berto needs to accept his offer on the table because he is not worth that much. Beating Margarito in devastating fashion in an exciting performance (barring the clinching) is a hell of a lot more meaningful than doing nothing but clinching against a second rate club fighter like Urango.

The only ace that Berto has up his sleeve in this is that he can fight scrubs and still get heavy paydays for it. That is why he does not want to fight Mosley without an amount of money that Mosley's camp has no reason to concede to him. And on the other hand, Mosley is in danger of being on the shelf for the rest of the year. I do have to admit that. But if he gives Berto anymore money than what he is currently offering, he isn't going to get anymore than what he got paid for beating Margarito. It makes no sense when he is the actual champion who beat an actual champion unlike Berto did.

There are plenty of people that Mosley can fight besides Berto. He could move up to 160 and fight Pavlik or accept Paul Williams' offer (I'm disappointed that he doesn't do something along those lines). He could do that because it looks highly likely that Pavlik and Williams won't reach an agreement. And he could even try to throw an offer in there like he is doing to try to mess up the Pacquiao-Cotto negotiations. Hell, I think Timothy Bradley would stand a better chance of beating Mosley than Berto would. But that aside, you are just totally clueless about what I meant in my last post. Why does Berto deserve $500,000 to even fight the opponents he is fighting now? Those guys aren't worth an ESPN payday and yet HBO keeps catering to his sorry ass. And because of that, Mosley won't be getting any more money fighting him than what he got against Margarito. That's my point. And yeah, it is true that Cotto has never beaten a champ for his belt. You asked me for some things that Mosley could do besides fight Berto, and I gave them to you. No, Berto is not Chavez Jr. I mentioned that in this thread. As far as cheating the fans go he is even worse. He is holding a portion of the division hostage by squatting on that WBC strap not fighting legit comp. At least Chavez Jr. is out of peoples' sites if we don't want to watch him. And how can you say that Berto has a better uppercut than Cosme Rivera?
