Campbell who’s contesting the IBF junior lightweight title against Robbie Peden in Melbourne on Wednesday, is reported to have threatened to leave Peden brain dead: “You’re going to be brain dead when I’m finished with you.”

did tyson get fined for his rants before the lewis-tyson bout? no

boxers say thier gonna kill each other,clean thier clock, send em
into retirement, destroy them, send em home in bodybags and other
such hyped rants.

you expect fighters to give 100% every fight,to take all the
punishment, possibly get koed then to get up and be sportsmanlike
while the blood and adrenaline is pumping and thier ego is bruised.

its the hardest sport and sportsmanship cannot always be upheld.

now im not excusing the comment but i think a bit of common sense
needs to be applied here.

When I first read this, I attempted to keep my comments to myself.... I cant though. Through the years in boxing there have been a lot of racial slurs, threats to peoples family as well as their health. This article sounds like something PETA would write. Oh, how many of those threats actually turned out to be true, majority of the time, they stay away and box them. Look at the Hopkins fight!

I don't find it surprising from my experience with boxing and boxers that he's say that. I find it funny considering he LET Peden KTFO the first time.
