Chambers was outworked and overwhelmed by the stronger, tougher more determined Povetkin.

I scored it 9-3 for Povetkin.

    Wlad is gonna destroy Chambers.

Yes it most definitely is a skill. There are surprisingly few boxers in any division today who can impose their size on their opponents as well as Wlad does. Look at Paul Williams.

I disagree. Wlad is a supremely skilled fighter, heavyweight or not. He's simply not had to use about 70% of his arsenal in recent fights because his bread and butter (jab and right hand).

Wlad is the most skilled heavyweight fighter.

Paul Williams doesn't fight tall. But he is much, much, much more skilled than Wlad.

Disagree on what? You believe that Wlad is better than Cotto?

What is the rest of his arsenal? Infighting? Countering? Throwing combinations that go beyond the simple 1-2?

70% of his arsenal was not used? Seriously... let's go off the Mercer fight... umm... still no....jesus christ you ridiculously overrate the man.

Watch the **** a fellow superheavyweight Rid**** Bowe did: Parry the lefthook, throw a right to the body, slip the right hand, throw a counter lefthook to end the fight.

Maybe he is, but he takes a hell of a lot more flush shots than Wlad does. Is that a sign of skill?

I disagree that Cotto is a thousand times more skilled than Wlad (I know that was an exaggeration on your part, but still the gap is nowhere near as wide as you seem to think). I don't overrate the man at all.

of course using your size to your advantage is a skill (just not a very entertaining one)
Saying it isnt is like saying Pac using his speed isnt a skill, or Haye using his KO power isnt a skill.

U use what u have to make u the best u can be. Doing otherwise is just ****ing ******.

Cotto's jab is pretty good Wlad's is better.
Cotto's right hand is so so, Wlad's is straighter and puts people to sleep
Cotto and Wlad both have nice nice left hooks. Wlad is one of the few people I've seen double the left hook as a heavyweight.
Cotto is fairly quick. Wlad is very underrated as far as speed goes. He consistently beats fighters to the punch which makes them not even come near him.
Cotto gasses late sometimes. Wlad has solved his problems with that from what I've seen.
Cotto is probably better on the inside, Wlad has changed his fighting style so he doesn't fight on the inside much at all. He hasn't even had to. That was a conscious decision on their managements part.

I feel both Cotto and Klitschko are very skilled fighters.
I just don't get how you could call a 1996 Olympic Gold Medalist and three division champ with 53 wins with 46 ko's unskilled.
And it seems like most posters agree with me.

I like Chambers too, but he's lost more rounds against Povetkin than Wlad has lost in like 3 years.

It is a skill because he had the same body earlier which gassed twice and was knocked out by Sanders. My guess is if he were to fight all 3 in their primes next year he would win easy because he has figured out how to hit hard and often without getting hit back. His arms are the same length as Mayweather's FFS.

I think the ts holds it against him that he's tall or something.

I mean Julius Long is 7 feet 2 and he sucks. Valuev is 7 feet tall and he's not that good.
Henry Akinwande, Michael Grant and host of other kinda ok guys are tall.

But they don't win their big fights on the whole.
Because they don't have Wlad's skill.

It does help that Wlad is one big mofo but if size was all that mattered then Tye Fields and Julius Long wouldn't be bums.
