He wants to use his belt to demand a fight at 147 lbs because at least at that weight, he would think it would be a toss up. But I doubt, even if they fight at 147 lbs, Pacquiao will be too much for Cotto.

    Peace!
Read the article again. Why should Cotto put his WW title on the line and agree to come down in weight for a VOLUNTARY defense?

If Pac wants to be a WW champion he needs to man up and fight at the champions weight. If he doesn't want to then he can **** off back to JWW.

If the Cotto Camp keeps insulting the king, I won`t be surprised if Pacquiao instead fights Mosley at 147. Just to win and spite them all.

LMAO... Pacquiao fighting Mosely at 147??? There's more chance of ME fighting Mosely at 147 then there is Pacquiao..

At 147 Mosley may be too much for Pac, if Manny fights at 147 I'm sure they would rather fight Cotto since he has shown vulnerabilities, where as Shane looked impressive against Tony. Do don't bet on that fight coming about, if Team Pacquiao opts for Mosley it will be at the ridiculous weight of 143 or 144.

Shane would smoke Pacquiao at 147... And when Cotto lands first big punch, Manny will realize what he has done.

And respect to Cotto for not accepting all the demands from Pacman and WBO, WW limit is 147 lbs, Cotto won that title at 147, there is no reason for him to voluntary defend it at Pacman's terms.

Cotto defended that title at 146. So what`s 145? So much ado for 1 pound when he will blow up to 159 anyway.

Weight class was 147, he defended at 147! He weighed in at 146, but the title was defended at WW limit at 147, and he could have come at 147 if he wanted.
