Oscar started his Career as a LW, B-Hop as a LHW!

But DLH fought at a weight for a long time of where he had the advantage. Just like Hopkins did in some of his fights. To me, it doesn't make any sense to have a fighter in your sig that specializes in fighting blown up opponents (and even losing to them in some cases) and tear down a guy who has some small opponents on his resume, but not losing one fight to them except maybe Calzaghe. But does Hopkins deserve criticism for that given that Calzaghe was 8 or 9 years younger, and didn't really win that fight as Daggum mentioned earlier. He just had the decision handed to him based on ineffective volume.

That's what daggum meant about "foolin judges". Calzaghe's workrate won him the fight, no question. But Hopkins landed the cleaner punches, you can't even argue that.

not sure why throwing more punches but missing them gets your more credit to some people. isn't that a sign of bad boxing. not being able to hit your opponent. it's pretty easy not to him someone. but the hard part and probably the most important part is actually hitting them.

Didn't Calzaghe land more punches on Hopkins than any other fighter? Doesn't seem like he missed too much then. Hopkins/Calzaghe could of gone eitherway, I personally gave it to Hopkins due to the KD but I can see how Calzaghe won it aswell. Calzaghe landed punches - that's a fact he didn't just throw punches at air he did catch Hopkins with flurries. Hopkins threw the cleaner, more accurate shots but the judges obviously didn't feel there was enough of them. Fact is fight could of gone eitherway (clarified by the SD) but Calzaghe got the nod - end of. You can say Calzaghe didn't deserve it all you like, the judges felt differently, take into consideration they was ring side aswell they'd notice the punches that missed and the ones that landed, it's pretty ****ing hard not to.
