Pacquaio's Cheap Way To 7th Title Blocked By Cotto's Vacate

I love that a true warrior in Cotto will vacate the belt before he lets someone pimp him to make history. I just hope he keeps his word and doesnt let them throwing money at him blind him into giving in to Pac's demand. Keep up the good work Miguel.

I have said this once and I will say it again, Cotto could give a rat's ass about the belt he got by beating Jennings. ODLH and Cotto went golfing and I believe it was ODLH who threw Cotto some nice cash to play hard ball. I hope the entire ordeal does not put Cotto's chances of facing Manny Pacquiao in jeopardy. I mean if Cotto gave his word to ODLH or was payed which is most likely the case, Cotto will have to stick to his guns and say no belt unless we dance at 147. ODLH does not want his record broken and that has to be the case. I know I would not want some little guy come and take my glory, think about it, first Manny beats ODLH down, makes him say no mas and now is on his way to capturing his 7th division title to break ODLH's record of 6.

IMHO, I can see that Pac will agree to fight at 147 sooner or later. If he wants to make proper history then he knows that that's the only way.

I agree with you, TS, but your wording makes it particularly easy for some myopic Pacquiao fanatic to pick it apart and turn it around to suit his ends.

I had never considered that. I don't think Cotto would do that, though. It would suggest that Cotto accepts losing as a real possibility. I think it's simply that Cotto is not simply going to bend over for Roach and company to shaft him with their dreams.

I just hope Cotto sticks to his original stance and doesn’t waiver for obvious reasons already mentioned. The ball is in Manny’s court right now and his handlers are looking foolish right about now with their “consistent” backpedaling in negotiations. Cotto should just maintain course and make Manny ultimately agree to Cotto’s terms if indeed this turns out to be a title fight.

                    Peace.
