Arguello vs Pac, MAB, EM, JMM or Naz?

Alexis started his pro career as a feather in 75 when he KOd Ruben Olivares. He successfully defended his title several times (mostly by KO) before moving up to superfeather in 78 by KOing Alredo Escalera.

From 78 to 82, he defended his title and prevailed over such who's-who in boxing at the time - Bobby Chacon, Bazooka Limon, Rolando Navarrette, Boza-Edwards, Boom-boom Mancini, Robert Elizondo and other boxing greats.

Until his fateful decision to move up again - to jr welter - where and was demolished and retired by Aaron Pryor (not only once but twice!)

How do you think he would have fared against any of the best feather/superfeather of today?
    1. Pacman
    2. MAB
    3. Morales
    4. JMM
    5. even Prince Naz

Arguello was a surgeon with his punches and could take you out with any punch at any time. I honestly think that Morales would have the most success against Alexis strictly based on his range and natural boxing ability. The fact that he has an exceptional chin would help him as well.

He should have beat Pryor in their first fight. It amazes me how Aaron's head stayed attached to his neck when Arguello hit him with that ****** uppercut in the later rounds (I dont remember the exact round).

None of those would have any chance vs Arguello, imo. Probably an inspired MAB, and that's reaching. Arguello KOs JMM, UDs Morales and basically kills both Pac and Naz

The first bout was controversial and debatable. But Pryor won the rematch decisively.

An interesting trivia on Arguello -

Prior to his first fight with Pryor, an armed Sandinista (the communit rulers of his country Nicaragua) managed to enter his locker room and tried to kill him. The would-be assassin was overwhelmed and arrested. A very close call indeed!

I should rephrase....Arguello should have won because that uppercut should have taken Pryor's head off...not because I don't think Pryor won it fair and square.

Well, Pryor was one lucky dude. Or we can also say that Pryor can take Arguello's biggest puch. Anyway, that first meeting was very brutal, and Arguello was hospitalized for a few months after the fight!

Arguello, who's a lanky 5'11" but wallops a deadly punch, can beat all these guys, but any one of them can sure give him one hell of a fight.
