Wladimir Klitschko will likely fight Povetkin on Dec 12

    From fight news:

Fight news.com has been informed that WBO/IBF/IBO heavyweight champion “Dr. Steelhammer” Wladimir Klitschko (53-3, 47 KOs) will likely face IBF mandatory challenger Alexander Povetkin (17-0, 12 KOs) in Germany on December 12th.

Klitschko and Povetkin were originally scheduled to fight almost exactly one year earlier (December 13th, 2008), but Povetkin was forced to pull out with a training injury. Wlad also has a mandatory against official WBO challenger Eddie Chambers (35-1, 18 KOs), but the IBF had stipulated that Klitschko must face Povetkin by the end of 2009, so that defense will come next.

I was hoping for Eddie Chambers first, but we'll have that one in 2010.

Youre wrong. I think this will be Wladimir's by far most challenging fight in the last three years. Povetkin is a better boxer than Tony Thompson, Ibragimov and Chagaev too most likely. Not to mention today's Rahman. And he's younger and in a better shape than those guys too. Wlad will have to remain on his toes throughout the fight. Unless he catches Povetkin with a big left hook early on, I think this will last 12 rounds. Povetkin has a good chin and is faster than Wlad. He's a high octane, explosive fighter in the Vassily Jirov mould.

I bet Klitschko will score an awesome knockout.

EDIT: Just saw it's Wladimir, cancel that statement.

It will be an action-packed fight!

Povtkin is very aggressive and always comes forward, he doesn't have an awkward, defensive style like Ibragimov and Thompson.

            He's tailor-made for Wlad.

No, I think Povetkin can handle his jab. Wlad will have to work harder this time. Povetkin is gonna make him rumble!

Dan Rafael was reporting that Wlad will face Chambers on that date. Anyways, will Povetkin still take a tuneup if he does face Wlad in December?...
