How much do you think weight has affected Pavlik's performance?

He was at 160 vs. Taylor. Went up to a catchweight of 166 for their rematch for which he weighed in at 164. Then back down to 160 again vs. Lockett. Up to a catchweight of 170 vs. Hopkins. Then back down to 160 vs. Rubio.

All that up and down in weight couldn't have been helping him. Even though I don't think it mattered vs. Hopkins, it might explain his poor form vs. Rubio.

Weight fluctuation will always affect you... How much? Depends on a individual, but weight changes in such a short time, it can't be healthy.

Rubio fought like a *****, and ran hence why Pavlik looked lackluster, he still got the TKO. The only reson he looked bad is because he fought Hopkins. Hopkins tends to expose fighters weaknesses.

It didn't affect him real bad but it did.He always looks worse over 160.

I thought he did a good job with Rubio, the guy just didn't wanna fight.

It has, but it's not just the weight. He shouldn't have taken that fight against ****hop. He wasn't ready, he was in a bad state health and body-wise.

Why isn't Pavlik a ***** for making a 43 year old geezer come down 5 whole pounds.

                    What's a bigger ***** move.......Coming up 10+ pounds from 160 or losing 3-5 pounds??

Even better, that hasn't been the first time for Hopkins. Bernard has never came in at 175 either, nice try.
