I've recently come to this newer version of my list, previously I had a few guys at alternate spots but after careful consideration I changed it to this.
If not, he's pretty close. His losses were avenged, he nearly always put on an exciting fight, record is impressive in and of itself, highly skilled, plenty of power....
About the only thing that would make me say top 15 instead of 10, was him not taking that Klitschko rematch, and taking a year (without fights) to decide to retire, all the while hoping Vitali would get KO'd and fade away so he could take another fight, maybe 2, before announcing retirement. That's the only thing that clouds his time as champ. If he'd retired immediately after beating Vitali, I'd lean more towards top 10 than I do now.
Lennix Lewis definitely is, when the guy was on, he was one of the greatest HW of all time. Smart fighter, great jab and very good power.
I would even say he is one of the few HW IMO that could actually beat Ali with his style. I have always said he is great but unfortunately throughout his career he fought to the level of his opposition and his work rate wasn't great.
Physically he was a monster to deal with though....
As much as I'd like to ignore it, LL is a top 10 ATG heavyweight, at least according to his accomplishments. Part of the credit, however, must go to Emanuel Steward for that. Lewis would never be as great a fighter without him, I stand firmly behind that.
