Shaun George speaks on odd performance against Chris Henry

    here is the link..http://www.doghouseboxing.com/DHB/Brandon071509.htm

george was quoted saying “I was injured. My right shoulder, my right thigh, and both of my hands. I couldn't pull out (of the fight) because I needed the money. I haven't been working. I only had one fight last year, and then (another fight) 5 months ago. Anyway, I'm done with boxing as a professional. I have to support my family, and it's too hard to come back. I'm too old.” so it sounds like hes retiring

It had less to do with injuries and more to do with his fragile mentality for a top fighter. When a top fighter hurts his right side, they push through with the left, and still use the right once in a while.

that was one of the oddest fights ive ever seen. George had henry out on his feet the first round, but come second round he barely threw a punch..!

that is truly bizarre. Cant believe I missed it.

He looked awesome against Byrd. WTF happened? Too old?!? He's 30.

He says he was injured before the fight. He didn't look injured in the first round.

Henry took his best punches and kept plodding forward. It may have gotten to him.

the guy has/had potentiol, i just think he doesnt have it all together upstairs to be a top tier fighter. to be honest with you i think he might be bipolar or something, and im being serious. when you looked at him that night against henry you could see in his eyes that his mind wasnt there

So he made 100 excuses and announced retirement after talking crap for so long.
