    Style makes fights!
    Styles do not make fights.

That's just a bull**** cliche the HBO pundits spew and it sounds good so uninformed fans eat it up.

Truth be told ; the better fighter always wins regardless of the styles.

Not in the early rounds. It would be a late stoppage or a wide UD for Marquez.

JMM needs to get warmed up and often looks bad early. I see him taking a round or three finding his rhythm before going to town on hatton and koing him around rounds 5-8

              hmm well not always

styles do make fights to an extent, but yes many people just spew it without thinking

In response to the TS's question the styles would make the fight. JMM doesn't have the style or power to blow Ricky out early. It would be a completely different fight but with most likely the same outcome. He probably KO's him late, unless Ricky gets lucky and tags him with a solid shot early on.

I never said it isn't true every once in a while but it's completely overblown.

For every example you just listed you can find 50 examples of the better fighter winning regardless of the style.

And Roy's loss came because he was shot, not the styles at all.
