Manny is one of the best conditions fighters period. He kept his high pace against Marquez the entire fight. Roach said that he will be in the best shape of his life and i would think he will be. If it goes late Manny will still be there firing. And i dont know about the going into late rounds and not carrying power (Marquez fight maybe) but thats more because of Marquez counterpunching and less to do with Manny.

For Pac to succeed against Erik, he'll have to surprise him with something that Pac has not offered to-date. What would it be? Maybe Morales will "under estimate" Pac's speed and power? Probably not. That said, what else does Pac have? Maybe Morales will overcommit and get countered? Very doubtful.

I'm interested to hear your thoughts. Really.

It works both ways here Bro. Eric is not a counter puncher either and if Pac tags Eric . . . I can assure you that it's not just one or two or three punches either. Well that's what making this fight really very interesting match up.

Pac has to offer something that will surprise Eric? Definitely . . . but I can asure you that Pac's left is enough. They don't call that a "PHANTOM LEFT" for nothing. All his opponents have studied that LEFT very well and claimed they won't be suprised anymore or they have prepared a strategy to neutralize that . . . but they all got hit and ended up in the canvas It's not a HYPE Bro results will show that . . . 24 of his last 25 opponents all went down to the canvas. You can't prepare for something you don't see coming and when it's coming.

The biggest motivation for Morales in this fight is probably to say, look, Barrera beat me, though I beat all of Barrera's conquerers. All my fights with Barrera are close decisions though nobody else can beat me. He's also mentioned he wants to do something Barrera and Marquez couldn't and that was to beat Manny. With all this motivation and we know Morales comes ready for war in every fight, it's going to be insanely explosive. Manny has already been reported to be in fantastic shape and ready to fight right now. I expect no less from Morales although why did he change his usual training routine for probably his hardest fight yet? Over confidence? Hmmmm.

nah I don't think it's overconfidence. Prolly to keep training secrets or to be more focuse, less distracted with a big entourage. Or maybe its some sorta "spiritual, karma" whatnot who knows lol

Those were in the days where he was either poorly prepared or overweight. He needs to work on his body's resistance to hard punches though if he intends to go toe to toe with Erik.

Totally agree with you. If we get to the later rounds, Manny will probably keep throwing at a high pace like he did with Marquez, and it will be that same lead combo with head bob and lunge that he offered to Marquez. All fighters entering the laters rounds revert to their instincts and less to the recent training, especially if he is getting tagged good. Manny will definitely be firing, as you say, but that wasn't enough (even with a 10-6 buffer) against Marquez, and won't be against Morales.

Actually, Eric is a very effective counterpuncher. That's why that vicious uppercut is so lethal.
