    Pac deserves his hype!

People forget that when pac first made a deal with oscar that VERY FEW thought pac would win it (similar to Floyd-JMM)

Infact i remember some threads claiming that they wont even watch it, because it was going to be such a one sided fight.

Pac then destroyed oscar, Pac once being a flyweight dont forget.

Its not everyday a boxer goes from beating flyweight to welterweight, not many boxers carry their power/speed up divisions like pac has.

Not only that but hes beaten the best out if every division (appart from floyd mayweather and shane mosely who hasnt he beat whos a superpower in the lower divisions?)

So quit the backlash with Pac-fans, the guy deserves all the hype he gets, although i dont see why Pac isnt fighting Cotto at 147, as the 2 pounds wont make much difference.

Before the DLH fight, did people expect DLH to come in the condition he did? NO. If they did, then everyone would have been predicting a Pacquiao win. So that logic about predictions prior to the fight is flawed.

He beat Morales only when Morales was shot and poorly conditioned.

He lost twice to JMM no matter what the score cards say.

He beat a poor version of Ricky who put up a terrible performance on the night.

The first Barrera fight is his best win. The rest are very overrated.

He doesn't deserve as much hype as he's getting.

these kind of posts is what im talking about.

you forgot pac started at 106 and is knocking out welterweights and is a 6 weight world champ fighting legends.

very easy to nitpick resumes but pac is an atg.

You forgot that Pac was like 16 at 106.

He's always been big for the lower divisions, and has even said he will never fight at LW again because it was such a struggle the last time. He is now a natural LWW but won't fight a WW at 147.

He is a very good fighter and will be an ATG. But the hype he gets is not deserving. People think he is unbeatable and some even claim he is top 10 all time. Sorry but he is nowhere near that level.

wasnt floyd at 108 also in the amatuers?
this coming up from 106 pounds to 147 isnt what its made out to be
first of all he would drain himself to make that weight and he was 16 yrs old..
he was still growing thats why he completely skipped like two division to go to superbantam

Oscar d la hoya was already looking old and losing weight wasn't going to make him stronger. And everyone knew Pacquiao had the speed, but what no one knew for sure was if Pacquiao would keep that speed and power moving up in weight.

Thats where he surprised everyone. He looked stronger and still kept his speed. So even though De la Hoya was weak it wasnt as big of a surprise as Pacquiao looking stronger without losing his speed. I thought he(Pac) come up less cut up, but he still looked completely ripped. Amazing for a fighters that has been moving up in weight from about 108 pounds.
