We saw him without his plaster handwraps in the Mosley fight right? I mean didnt he get caught before the match and then fight without them.

          He's 0-1 without plaster.

And it was a vicious beating.

I think the use of the loaded gloves has been intermittent, throughout his career. Sometimes he seemed to hurt the guy with every punch he threw. It was most notable, for me at least, in the first Cintron fight. I actually commented on it to the guys I was watching the fight with, "Geez, the guy has bricks in his gloves tonight". I'd been watching Cintron for awhile and fully expected him to be the first to put Margarito's lights out.

Yet at other times, his power seemed ordinary. Paul Williams, for example. He landed plenty, but didn't seem to be hurting Paul a great deal. Again, my prediction for this fight was proven utterly wrong....I expected him to do away with Williams in mid-rounds.

Margacheato is, without loaded gloves, an excellant fighter. He has great stamina, an outstanding chin, high work rate, very good guard, and is an accurate puncher. But I just don't think he has that much **** without plaster in his wraps. Probably very average power, at a guess, from what I can tell. Enough to get the job done, but not somebody you need to make chase you.

The whole incident just sickens the hell out of me. He nearly ruined Cintron (jury's still out on that), and Cotto will probably never be quite the same either. No telling how many other guys he fought early on who got discouraged after catching shots from loaded gloves and lost any serious interest in their boxing career.

Tony should probably be banned from the sport for life, and have all his KO or TKO wins called into question, if not reversed entirely. Of course that can't be done, but you can see what I mean about how tragic this is to the sport itself. Who knows what could've happened if he hadn't been a cheating prick? Nobody knows when he started, how often he did it, or who against, except for him, and his corner, and the odds of them coming clean are pretty slim.

We will soon find out. I think alot of good fighters will wait to see his first fight before trying to fight him. His style might beat certain fighters like cotto but we'll see soon.
