you know what idiot? pacquiao dropped him 3 times in the 1st round made it a 10-7 round, marquez was still dazed in the 2nd and 3rd rounds so pacquaio won those 10-9. its a 12 round fight, pacqiao didn't win another round the rest of the fight

pacquaio had a big 1st round, but lost 9 rounds to 3
      Wouldn't that be a 10-6 round?...

Anyways, I never scored the first bout, but I gave the second to Marquez by 1 point. But, either guy could've taken it, a lot of rounds were just too close to call.

What annoys me about that fight most is how people score the first round 10-7 every single time you look at a card. I don't understand it. 10-9 for winning a round with no knockdowns, 10-8 for winning it with one, 10-7 for winning it with two, and... 10-7 again for three? That is a 10-6 round, not a 10-7. That coupled with the Pacquiao winning two and three obviously gives him a six point advantage. If you believe Marquez won every other round of the fight then fine, he wins 114-111. If you see one more for Manny, it is 113-112. I don't see how you could possibly score that fight and not give two of the last nine rounds to Pacquiao though. I honestly don't. He may have not won a round more than that, but you can tell me he did not win two of the last nine? That is all it takes mathematically to win the fight. You can have a problem with how boxing is scored, but you can't really use the current scoring rules and not end up with a Manny win over Juan Manuel.

sounds odd to me, like the KDs dont count, also have to consider Manny never got KD.

If you get KD 5 times in 2 fights without KDing the other fighter, you got outboxed.

Very true he took control of the fight and took Pac's left hand away and boxed his ass to it. The 1st fight was JMM outside the knockdowns. I think him recovering and boxing so well and winning most of the rounds was why i felt he won. If it was a street fight and I put a guy down 3 times in the first few mins then had my ass out boxed for 21 mins I dunno if I would feel 100% that I won myself.

I had that fight for Marquez by a point or two, besides the first round which i scored 6-10, i only had Pac winning 1 round with another round a draw. I thought the second was much closer and pac got the knockdown so there you go.

That makes no sense. Peter KD Wlad 3 times in their fight, does that mean that Sam Peter outboxed Wladimr Klitchsko?

I think I had the first one a draw. Haven't watched it for a while though

I remember reading somewhere that it's pretty much standard procedure to not give a fighter lower than 7 points for a round, no matter how many times they get dropped, as it puts them at too much of a disadvantage and ruins fights

Never bothered to cross-check with past examples though
