How many times did the "Baddest Man on the Planet"

force his opponents to come down in weight if they were heavier than him?

Nobody in the late 80s was a bigger force, or larger attraction than Mike Tyson.

So, again, as the face of the sport, how often did Iron Mike make opponents come out of their comfort zone by making weight stipulations?

Lets not forget, that often times, he was the shorter man as well.

Tony Tubbs would have been paid 50,000 $ had he come in at under 235 lbs. He didn't and got knocked out by Tyson in two rounds.

        Obviously, you're missing the point.

        Exit and try again.

Easily, it's just the same as a weight limit written into a contract at any weight.

              No I'm not.

BTW, how many times did pernell whitaker, julio cesar chavez, henry armstrong, bernard hopkins fight at catchweights? (I can list dozens more of names)

Yes, you missed the entire premise of the point. I put everything there for you and you missed it.

Pac is a force to be reckoned with and is a face of the sport.

                  Gallo,

its a money thing...plain and simple....why pass up on an extra mil or two if your opponent is willing to meet you at an agreed weight...even before the clottey fight, cotto said he would fight PAC at 145....Manny's just holding him to it and giving himself a chance at some extra ducats...shrewed business move but a business move nonetheless

                    Dumbass.

                    What difference does it make?

Eddie Chambers can fight at 205 against Dimitrenko at 250? And nobody bats an eye?

Cotto might outweight FudgePacky by 5-to 10 pounds and you little ****'s are crying foul.

                    Wise up man.
