Why does he need to vacate his title..? There's too much at stake here and if the belt is not on the line.. manny will get nothing but money.

A lot of cotto fans doesnt want cotto's belt on the line because of the catchweight.

manny is no ordinary WW contender.. he is coming up from 140 to 145 and putting his P4P title on the line too.

If cotto wins.. he will get the spotlight and be p4p king.

In my own opinion:

Cotto's WW belt = Manny's p4p king title.

If you took away the belt.. this will just be a money fight like DLH. And you saw how boring it is.. pfffft.

At 145 the fight doesnt side to anyone, both will be at risk. for cotto he will be drained a pound lighter than his previous fight. for pacman, he will face his first true ww fight. FFS you cant use DLH's Dream match an argument for pacman weighing at 147 before.. He didnt took a single power shot in that fight. He's never been tested at WW.
