I know, I already said that about Taylor. He lacks the killer instinct, the ability to finish off an opponent. That said, I think Froch is a fairly difficult opponent to finish off. Unless you are a one-punch ko man and Taylor clearly isn't!

      lol
the fight was a bit crazy
it showed up both fighters weaknesses much more than it did their strengths

Taylor took one hell of a beating in that 12th.

His survival instincts are actually fairly good. His head was on its arse and he was on spaghetti legs for almost 2-minutes before Froch put him away. Very impressive really. Shows massive heart.
Thing is Arthur Abraham probably wouldn't pour it on like Froch after he had him hurt, and Taylor might be able to hold onto him if he did being the larger man. Unless he is one-punch-kayo'd I see Taylor surviving the bombs from Abraham and winning over 12. If this fight hasn't ****d his confidence.

It was pretty close on the scorecards. And Froch wasn't lucky, he beat the crap out of Taylor when he had to.

Froch is not a hard man to finish off. You have to out box him which is not hard to do. he is slow and can be beaten to the punch easily. You need to move not backwards but create angles and get in and out. Taylor in his most usual habits moves straight back. he lets himself get cornered and lays on the ropes. This is not where you want to be against a guy that is slow and has some power. A guy like Froch lives for that type of fight. You need to be in the center of the ring sticking the jab and waiting for the counter punch opportunity. Belive me there will be many. Froch lunges in with his upper cut and is just screaming hit me with the over hand right. He leads with his face and leaves himself off balance very often. A quick side step and a good counter left hook followed by a right hand and Froch is toast. Taylor has the ability to do so and has decent power in his right hand but lacks the know how in the ring. As often said he tences up and this extra adrenilan drains his stamina. A guy like Hopkins who has some power not a great puncher but a great counter puncher would floor Froch with that straight right hands create angels and give Froch the cold sweats for years after the drubbing he put on him....Lefty

Boxing is a 12 round fight, it used to be 15.

Taylor said he never trained for any fight like he did against Froch and took his hat off.

Carl Froch takes every fighter into deep waters and i mean deep, if mentally you're not prepared it's game over. Froch takes it to the trenches later rounds.

Ps. Froch beat Taylor to the jab on many occasions.

you just know at one point, and most likely at several points, and most likely in every round too, the other guy is just going to have to stand there and fight Froch. He just makes it happen, because he doesn't get discouraged, and has a chin that has about as much resistance as a family-sized Ford Galaxy.

Taylor was good enough to not 'fight' with Froch for about 7 rounds. Pascal went at it straight away and to his credit done very well but is stamina fell out of his arse, and Froch just fiddled on the jab to win the late rounds.

                    Wonder what Dirrel will do?

To beat Froch, you have to show a willingness to fight. He'll make all these guys he is fighting fight his kind of fight eventually.

Froch will probably meet his first defeat like Margarito, in a savage one-sided beating, against a man who went balls-out like Mosley did against Margo.

Mosley fought a smart fight tied up Tony The Cement Mixer Margarito often. Stopped his momentum and landed big blows counter punched and got off first. used his jab and moved. To tell you the truth Froch don;t have the punch output like a Cement Mixing Tony so I truly think it is easier to defeat Froch. You just need to jab and counter. Side step and stay off the ropes. He is open for big shots all day long....Lefty
