MC Promotions prospect Luis Cruz fights Yoghi Herrera

On paper, the Colombian Yoghi Herrera opponent will be the highest trajectory that Luis "El Artesano" Cruz has faced in his career.

But that does not mean the couple of the stones will be left intimidated.

Cruz Herrera will face his first defense of the sash USNBC pen, an agency affiliated with the World Boxing Council (CMB), which won last June.

The event organized by Specials Miguel Cotto will be on the court Ruben Viera de Las Piedras.

"I'm never the type of person who underestimates an opponent. You can not. I have to climb into the ring with the mentality that we must be prepared to win the fight, "Cruz said to Primera Hora.

"Herrera is the most dangerous opponent I have faced so far, but I feel superbien be doing my first defense. I learned a lot from my fight against Jesus Salvador Perez, but the most important thing for me is to get fit to fight, "said Cruz.

In fact, the boxer will have his first test today when they stepped on the scale fire in a prepesaje. Cruz said he should not have setbacks.

"I am loyal to the gym. While not having a fight, I like to be training all the time. After my last fight as I took a week off before returning to coach, "shared Cruz.

This looks like a very solid prospect from PR, but nobody never talks about him.

He is Miguel Cotto promotions hopes. He looks like he can become a champion some day.

Funny thing is that Cotto is his promoter, and Evangelista his trainer.

Cotto have 5 or 6 more very solid prospect under his promotional company!!!!!

Yeah, I figured that when you only posted this. I was just kinda wishing out loud.

Is he part of the new breed of PR fighters who fight with their dominant hand forward? From the looks of it he seems to be a right handed boxer that fights out of the orthodox stance.

He is a righty and fights as a Righty.

he have a similar style to Rafa Marquez(Not Saying he is at his level or anything)

Only diference Cruz keeps his opponents at a distance but he likes to counter punch and mix it up too.
