I don't see a kayoe. But this will be a straight classic for real. Tapia is so damn underrated on these forums. I would also loved to see him vs Mark "2 Sharp" Johnson.

Rafa Marquez would put on a boxing clinic against "mi Vida Loca"

Holy **** good matchup, I got respect for both fighters, definetaly a classic I think Marquez would be picked favorite to win, but both theese guys are FOTY status how many FOTY candidates did Tapia fight in? too many as I recall just watch some of his last fights they were still exciting (the ones v.s Archuleta), Marquez fought 2 FOTY fights v.s Izzy, Anythig coud happen in this one.

                Great mythical matchup!!

But I think Rafa has too much power and technique for Tappy....

Rafa by 9th round brutal k.o.

The same could be said with Rafa over Vazquez, and Tapia's heart match's Izzy's so this fight would have screamed a classic.

I'd have Rafa by late TKO.

How come everybody forgets Tim Austin. The dude was bad. I think he would have beat Rafa if he had fought him 2 years earlier. Austin was just getting a little long in the tooth to handle Raf. But anyway, Prime for prime I think I would pick Rafa by close dec. in this one. Not being able to stop Tapia, Rafael wins by being the more effective aggressor with more power.
