Can we just stop this BS now? The only people who think Howard has two legit. losses on his record are the three judges at the Joppy fight.

Eastman has some decently heavy hands and good skills. But, as you say, his wide open style makes him a target. Couple that with his overall lack of speed past the mid-rounds, that makes him a BULLSEYE against Tito. I also don't see Eastman keeping anybody on the outside, despite those gangly arms.

"I heard a lot of cheers and some down time where everyone wanted more action. But I’m a slow starter." On Eastman claiming he ran, Hopkins stated, "If Eastman looks in the mirror someone put the welts up there. The smart man in boxing lives to see another day. I wanted to fight my fight and not Eastman’s.....I give myself a B-. A knockout would have taken me to an A."

That's one thing I will give Hopkins - he IS fast. The fact that he's so fast actually creates an inaccurate impression of Eastman, because I'd say Eastman's speed is above-average too. And - though he should have realised it wasn't going to work and adapted - the old "leave the left hand down low" has been a trap that he's used to great effect in the past. I didn't like the way Hopkins won, but fair play - it's Howard's only legit loss. (My God, he dished out Nuff Tump to Joppy)

I wish Howard had pressed harder though, for Nuff Tump.
I don't understand your quibble babble for the past billion posts about this topic. You state you wish Howard pressed on? Well, guess what he didn't. If he wanted to take the fight to Hopkins, HE DIDN'T. Do you really expect a 40 year old man to bring it on? If Eastman wanted to win he should've done something other than NOTHING but get hit with left hooks over and over. Maybe he should've stopped talking about knocking out Hopkins and worked on keeping his hands up.

This is the thing... people keep saying "Hey, Hopkins just ran like a girl all night... but he's forty, what did you expect?" I expect him to either box or get the f*** out - fair enough, Mr. Quibble Babble?
