    Eastman Looked Like Crap

Words from Eastman "I'm gonna knock out Hopkins within five"...all talk. Hopkins schooled Eastman and gave him a boxing lesson...there was nothing he could do to possibly win. His so called punching power was nothing to Hopkins who shrugged Eastman's punches off like nothing. I must clarify that the reason Eastman looked like crap is because Hopkins outclassed him so bad that he looked like ****. Now bring on Jermain Taylor, Antonio Tarver or Glenn Johnson. I laugh at all of you who said Eastman would win, you geniuses.

i dunno what fight you were watching, but there was no 'boxing lesson' here. Both fighters looked mediocre at best, with hopkins scoring an unimpressive points win after more low blows than i cared to count.
The hopkins we saw in this fight would get murdered by glenn johnson

Bernard's a prolific fighter, he is probably one of the smartest figthers I have ever seen fight.

I was very impressed that Hopkins used his ring smarts to outpoint Eastman. Turning this fight into a slug fest would not have been a smart thing. This fight was an example of how Hopkins is able to adapt to different styles and do what he needs to do to win. Jermain Taylor looked great too and I would like to see him fight Hopkins.

Well Eastman came in with the right mentality, he was just outclassed. He fought the best he can but Bernard's skill was too much. He got in a couple of good uppercuts and counters but nah, you ain't hurting Bernard with a "couple".

Glen Johnson rushes straight foward, Hopkins would counter-punch him to death. The only way Glen Johnson beats Hopkins is if he comes in better conditioned than Bernard. And I don't see that happening.

glen would get frustrated and gas out early I'd assume, however he is a fellow old soldier so he has plenty of tricks up his sleeve, but nard's reflexes, counterpunch ability, and the way he picks his shots and moves will keep him undefeated for up to his 25th defense imo.

nard will have his name among the great ray robinson, lamotta, hagler, etc. The only fighter I see as Nard's equal is Ray Robinson, he's above all the other great middleweights in my opinion

This was a boring fight. But Hopkins won it fair and square. No complaints from this Brit.

glen johnson mayb old, but he is still in decent condition and a decent fighter
but he's not going to beat bernard, unless, he pulls off a spectacular KO, and i dont c that happening. hopkins will be rushed against the ropes, but once he just spins johnson around, johnson will be against the ropes.
