Is Cotto still the Champ Even if After a Lost?

Say Cotto doesn't put his belt on the line, and somehow persuaded WBO to agree to him, but lost of Manny.

So, with this scenario, do you think he's still the champ?

I wonder will he still keep his ranking as the #2 WW since Pac will probably be a WW for good

if he loses he'll drop down.

they'll rank pac as #2 behind mosley.

floyd #3 and if cotto is lucky he'll be #4.

if he gets koed though he might drop even more.

I still wonder why Clottey didnt drop after his lose to Cotto. I guess becasue the fight was close and Berto isn't doin anything. But Floyd and Pac recieving that big of a jump is crazy, but who knows. I guess Floyd was the man at WW befoe he retired and they gave Pac a #10 ranking after he beat Hoya

How the hell could he still be a champ if he lost? That's some Zab-Baldomir type of ****.

the only reason floyd is not in the rankings is because he's inactive.

he could fight me at 147 and get ranked at 147 afterwards.

pac jump is understandable , cotto is #2.

Well, some would like him to hold on to the belt.

**** that. If he lets a JWW beat him in a WW fight, he can't claim to be a titlist anymore. He would lose his #2 ranking at 147 anyways, which is really what matters.
