Cotto vs Witter

Witter is an interesting fighter but he gets lazy, if you gat lazy aginst Cotto you get run over. I think Cotto would eventully ware him down too hard.

You dont think cotto has a good enuf defense for witter?He can be a VERy patient fighter, IMO./Also i dont know how this traditionaly has happened with fighters, but is a lefty still as dangerous against a left handed fighter (like cotto), as much as he would be against an orthodox fighter??

I think junior has more power than cotto, he had N'Dou hurt on quite a few occasions in this fight, if he hadn't injured his hand i could have seen him knocking N'Dou out.
N'Dou took most of cotto's big shots well.

cotto is a better all round boxer with a better defence than witter, but cotto's chin would be tested, against a big puncher in witter.

cotto has not fight anyone of note until corely then i will say he just edges it on better opposition and dont metion pinto cos he was and over hyped and not up to much

Im not dissrespecting him but thats the truth. You guys act like I hate Cotto and says that he sucks. I have never said anything like that.

I said that I really like him and think that he could be great but he hasnt done anything to say that he will be and he hasnt done no where near anything for all of you to be picking him over all the top fighters. Thats all I have been saying

Witter by UD. Cotto's good, but he is one dimensional. He only fights going forward. He leaves himself open to lead rights and his defense is subpar. A good boxer with quickness and power will beat him.

I don't recall ever saying that I'd pick him over all the top fighters right now. Now having said that I do think that in time he will be good enough to beat all the top fighters in the division, the key words there is "in time". Right now I would however say he has a good shot at beating everyone at 140 except for Tszyu and PBF, that's right now. At this time next year and hellmaybe even by the end of 2005 IMO he would have a damn good shot at the twoo of them as well!
