    Are Fans/Experts Overlooking Cotto?

Seems to me like no one is giving him a chance to win the fight. I don't think I ever seen an elite talent like him be such a huge underdog facing a smaller fighter. This might be good for Cotto because he can go fight Pacquiao with no pressure. I mean he got nothing to lose and everything to gain, right?

More on the opposite, Cotto fans are blind and are overlooking Pacquiao. As what Roger Mayweather said, that's what you get when you're underestimating a small man like Pacquiao.

Title or no title, catchweight or not the Pacquiao express stops here. Look, I like Pac he's a class act and a great fighter but it amazes me how many people have boarded the Pac-mania train, mostly because of his destruction of Ricky Hatton and sure the DLH win too. They believe that Pac has become this unstoppable force an immovable object if you will and I just don't see it. Don't get me wrong, the dude is good ,he is an excellent fighter and deserves a lot of respect as does Miguel Cotto but Pac is no GOD. He's not one of the untouchables,he is not going to creme every opponent he faces, he faces defeat just as much as the man standing opposite him. I mean c'mon this is boxing right. Anyways, Cotto to win by a vicious KO in an epic battle. BELIEVE IT

I don' know, but if the odds go more than 3/1 for Pac I'm betting on Cotto for the hell of it, he does have solid chances to pull this off. After all, he is the welterweight.

What? If anyone is getting overlooked is Cotto. No one is giving him a chance dude. Pacquiao is like a 2-1 favorite and the fight was made official just one week ago.

Pacquiao is a 2-1 favorite right now and this fight was made official a week ago. I mean 2-1 this soon? wow.

Anything can happen in boxing but I dont consider Pacquiao a favourite in winning this fight.Cotto will murder him.Pacquiao is overated and when he steps into the ring he will see how good Cotto is.Pacquiao hasnt really improved as a fighter, beating DelaHoya doesnt mean he's good,DelaHoya was gifted against Forbes and Forbes isnt even that good.Ricky Hatton was washed up and had camp problems. To think Cotto will be taken out by Pacquaio is obviously taking Cotto for granted.

                Yeah they are.

I saw a Ring magazine say "Is Cotto past his prime at 28?"

This is boxing, your only as good as your last fight.

You have a nasty cut and fight againest a way bigger guy in Clottey who defense would make anybody look bad but you recieve a "gift" in a close fight then your considered shot, that Manny's speed is going to eat you the **** up.

                I remember this :

Mosley beat Mayorga but didn't look so good doing at the time - he was suppose to stomp Mayorga. When mentioned he was going to fight Margarito - he was suppose to get steamrolled BASED on how he fought Mayorga [LOL OWNED]

Mosley's next fight seems like a god cause he demolishes Margarito. But this is boxing - your only as good as your last fight, right?

LOL - I bet the Cotto who comes in and beats Pac that night people will have to think of a very good excuse.

I hope it gets ridiculously higher.

and yes, I think many people are still gassed on what Manny did to Ricky which is why they're overlooking Cotto.

The last time Cotto faced a smaller man, what happened?

This fight can go either way and is alot closer than some are making it out to be. Cotto has been cracked by full fledged welters on numerous occasions. Pac hasn't felt that kind of sting before. Compare the hardest hitter Cotto has faced to the hardest hitter Manny has faced.

I hope the odds get higher for a Pac win. I'm throwing down some dough.

I think Cotto is gonna suprise a lot of ppl, ppl forget just how good he is and that he has real KO power, the kind of power Manny's yet to face.

If those odds stay I'd definetly put money on Cotto. He's a proven WW and Pacquaio is not. He will have more power than Pacquaio and for the odds bein offered atm he looks a good bet.

2 b honest I dont rate Pac's DLH win, that wasnt the DLH that Floyd fought. I give him some credit for the Hatton win, but Floyd havin already knocked him out taints that win for me. If he beats Cotto he'll remove all doubt about whether he is a good fighter at this weight. I'll accept the winner as havin won on merit.

In summary, ppl are overlookin Cotto saying things like he's shot when him along with Mosely and Floyd are the very best at WW. He's gonna suprise a lot of ppl, trust me. The only thing that might b an issue is whether he gets a good trainer or not an whether his cut heals in time or not. Apart from that this fight is a toss up in my eyes
