I'm crazy about Roger, hehe! I am a Mayweather clan supporter. The thing he won't do for his nephew. I keep watching that clip when he jumps in after ******* Judah hits Floyd low and on the back of the head. I savour the moment. Too bad Steele didn't let him strangle that little punk Judah. One thing I don't get, he gets fined what, 200,000?? And suspended for like a year and Yoel Judah gets NOTHING for attacking him?? As if Roger was choking his son and he HAD to jump in and play big macho man.

agree.. he has said some dumb **** before.. but i actually agree with him on this one.. since i almost always disagree with the mayweather gang, they almost have something ******ed and off the wall to say.. he's actually using his head on this one.. cotto will win.. hands down.. but i dont think that will diminish pacman.. he's still a great fighter and will still be very marketable.. props to cotto and pacman for taking all comers..

Well, no ****. Most of Pacquiao's opponents are lightweights and lower, of course they are going to lose to full blown WWs. Except Hatton who beat Malignaggi and ODLH who would beat everyone on Cotto's resume.

Cotto fits Pacquiao's style though. That come forward **** vs Pacquiao =
WTF... Cotto does not come forward non-stop. If he did he wouldn't have made it this far in his career. He would have been stopped by Mosley and his career would probably have been over at that point. Up until the Mosley fight that was what Cotto was, essentially another Ricky Hatton. However, he learned to box and come forward and do so at the proper moments, which is how he beat Mosley. Mosley even admits that Cotto mixes up his up his boxing so subtle and sneaky its hard to figure out.

i agree.. he used to be very sloppy and go straight foward with no defense at all.. sometime before the mosely fight he finaly realized that it wont always help him win.. he is very tricky.. if he's not able to hurt you he'll switch to southpaw.. he's boxing ability is highly underrated..

Unless the recognition came from Roger Mayweather, the uncle-trainer of former pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather, Jr.

In an interview with fight Fan.com’s Ace Freeman, Roger said it takes some serious guts for a small man like Pacquiao to face Miguel Cotto.

“Obviously if Pacquiao is taking the fight with Cotto, he thinks he can beat him. That should tell you right there… for a little guy, he’s got some balls,” said Roger.

Roger, who himself fought as a professional and was a former world champion in the late 80’s, also admitted that he may have underestimated Pacquiao in the past.

“Obviously he’s a much better fighter than I thought he was. Regardless of how he beat [Oscar] de la Hoya, he still beat de la Hoya. Regardless of how he beat Ricky Hatton, he beat Ricky Hatton. Obviously, he’s a better than I thought he was,” he said.

However, he thinks it will be a different story when Pacquiao meets Cotto, whom he described as the bigger guy and a very good puncher.

“I don’t think he’s going to beat Cotto. If he does beat Cotto, I’ll be amazed… I’ve got to see him beat Cotto… I’ve got to see it with my own eyes,” said Roger.

                Pacman vs Floyd
Roger also said that he would also like to see how Pacquiao would fare against his nephew, Floyd.

“That would be the biggest fight in the world for Pacquiao. It would also be the biggest fight in the world for my nephew if they were to fight in the near future,” he said.

Roger, however, thinks it will only happen if Pacquiao beats Cotto.
take it from roger he should know since his nephew didn't have the guts to face cotto!

Roger says that he is tired of losing 50 grand everytime he bets against Pac so he is only betting 20 this time. In the future, he will not bet against Pac if he gets past Cotto unless he fights Floyd- then he's dropping 70 large.

If Pacquiao beats Cotto, there would be a huge possibility of a Mayweather-Pacquiao fight. Seeing Pacquiao as a biggest draw in boxing which Mayweather would take the 50-50 purse split.
