The fight should have been negotiated at 147.

    It was simple.

Saying Cotto is afraid, is a joke and an insult to fans. We know what time it is. Team Pacquiao needs to stop acting like Team Mayweather Jr., as this is getting very annoying.

    sad but true...

ppsssh Going down 1 LB shouldn't be a reason why the belt is not on the line.
You think that belt still matters if he loses to PAC?
You think Miguel can still look in the mirror and say " Who cares! I'm still El Campeon Del Mundial From Caguas,Puerto RicOOOOOOOOOO, Miguel Angel Coooooooooootto" ...if he loses to Pac.

Pac already said he's willing to Pay the fees.
Put that belt on the line.

I'm also a Cotto fan btw.

Well, since odlh was chasing Manny I think that was a fair fight even though I reluctantly admit that odlh was probably weight drained. This fight, though, was made by promoters and fans. It's bull**** that Cotto should be risking anything more than a loss at a catch weight.

Someone, please post interviews and such. I want to know what's REALLY going on. It seems like Pacquiao is...I dunno, getting ahead of himself and perhaps Roach too. Is there something Cotto is doing wrong? I don't see it, but I want to know.

As it stands, Cotto should not be expected to do anything more than fight on November 14 at the contracted weight...if for the title, fine. Cotto should not be expected to weigh anything under 147.

Someone somewhere wants it both ways and I think that is categorically wrong.

My Take, i think if you want it to be for a title, then make the limit 147 (pac man can weigh in at 145 if he choses) because its a welterweight title and the welterweight limit is 147, however if cotto and pac make a gentleman's agreement, not enforcable by any sanctioning body to come in at 145, thats awesome, but if its a mandatory 145, i don't think he should have to put up his title. However, if pacquaio is willing to put in the money to make it a title fight, cotto should oblige, theres no reason not to for cotto, if he feels he can win, put it up, it'll sell more ppvs, if he doesn't think he can win, put it up anyway, cause it'll be meaningless to him if he loses.
