I think people have quickly forgotten the type of fighter Miguel Cotto is.

Trust me when I tell you that I have to defend Cotto almost everyday, not because I'm a big fan of his, but mainly because a lot of people have forgotten the type of fights and fighters he's been in the ring with. Keep in mind fellas, the dude has 1 loss...1 LOSS! How many people wrote off Sugar Ray Leonard when he lost to Roberto Duran?

We live in a society today where you're hot today and cold tomorrow. Just like music, people digest things so quickly that they end up being surprised when in this case a Boxer is able to provide us with an incredible performance, but in reality...why SHOULD we be surprised? Cotto's had 2 grueling fights in the last couple years against fighters nobody wanted to fight for the simple reason that they were a risk. But Cotto has still taken those fights.

Win or lose come Nov 14th, Cotto is a fighter we can only dream of having every generation. He's got his shot at stardom and I'm sure he sees that ahead of him. This is Boxing guys...we've been seeing the unthinkable more times than none lately...Nov 14th could indeed be another one of those occurrences (to casual fans at least).

Damn fight is 3 1/2 months away and so much **** is being said already. I just know that it will be a great fight (I've gone out on a limb and already bought our plane ticket and got a room in Vegas). Can't wait...let everyone keep on talking ****.
